In 2015 Catherine Notaras kindly offered to apply to the Town Council for a grant for improving the three ponds at Mill Meadows. She was successful in raising £500 towards the project as well as offers of help from Gareth Bartle and Chris Baldwin, who work for the Town Council’s Parks Service. The work was carried out in mid December, the work being organised by Alan Parfitt in the absence of Sally Rankin. Rod d’Ayala drew up the plans and supervised the work.
